And I Just Can’t Hide It!

This post was supposed to be about the things I’m excited about today:

  • Oranges back in season!
  • Old jeans back on!
  • Elliott Smith!

(I didn’t actually have anything new about Elliott Smith to be all excited about. I’ve just been listening to some of my favorite of his albums while Caelyn’s been napping, and I figure that’s worth being excited about.)

I even had pictures for you and videos and all kinds of heart-pounding content.

Unfortunately, all my excitement has been trumped by the fact that Wordpress and I aren’t speaking at the moment. And Caelyn just popped up from her nap, crying. And Chris has a sore throat. And I spilled coffee on the aforementioned jeans.

Make that almost trumped.

Oh, Hot Sundaes, you make my troubles seem to disappear:

I love Kelly’s black-and-purple striped leotard. If there’s one thing you really need when you’re working out, it’s a turtleneck.

Tell me you feel better too.

Wow. Great video. Who are the people that own this stuff and then put it on YouTube? We don’t know. But we love them.

Oddly enough, I just saw “Jessie” on the Today Show this morning. I didn’t watch long enough to see what she’s doing now, but I think it was something about dance or videos. That may be why this was on YouTube! Since you’re the current events/poop culture queen (much like Rory), maybe you can fill me in on it?

Congrats on getting into those old jeans! You’re looking good, girl!

Hey, Thanks for posting my page on “Featured and Cool”! I really appreciate your support for our Autism Walk. FYI to any who might be reading this, 1 in 150 children are diagnosed with Autism each year! That’s more than pediatric cancer, diabetes, and AIDS combined! Unfortunately, Autism has historically received very little federal funding, and public education and awareness was scarce. Early diagnosis and intervention is the key for success in the future. That’s what this Walk is all about! Thanks, Katy, for providing a link to help educate everyone about this!

Steve — We do. We really do.

JSmo — I’m glad to do it! I’m proud of you for participating and for the work you do all year. Thanks for sharing with us! I hope the walk goes well and the kids have fun at your booth. Can’t wait to hear about it!

And thanks for the jeans encouragement! I should’ve had Caelyn in Abilene so you could be my personal trainer. Two more months and they’ll fit perfectly, but at least I can wear them now and not look like I belong on Jessie’s claim to fame after SBTB, Showgirls!

As for Jessie’s current endeavors, I think she’s about to have some sort of a dance show on Bravo. (Since you don’t have cable . . . that’s the channel whose claim to fame is Queer Eye for the Straight Guy.) She started out dancing, not acting, as a kid, which I figure is why she was showcased dancing on a handful of SBTB episodes, most notably here and in the dance-a-thon hosted by Casey Kasem at the Max, where she pairs up with Zack, but first place goes to Screech and Lisa doin’ “The Sprain.” But we see her love of dance in a few others like when she secures ballet tickets for her and Slater or when she does the butterfly dance in the beauty pageant or stars as Snow White in Bayside’s production of Snow White and the (rapping) Seven Dorks.

As for this being on YouTube, are you tellin’ me there really has to be a reason!?!

So “poop culture”? :) Is that Freud or a double entendre? Or, dare I say, literal? I don’t know about Rory, but my knowledge of feces is rather limited. (You’re the one married to a microbiologist.) Even so, I’ll take a Queen title whenever I can get it!

I can’t believe you know all of those SBTB episodes! You DID buy the DVD’s, didn’t you?!? I don’t remember any of those episodes! But, Kevin and I cracked up after reading about your knowledge of them. I hereby deem you the SBTB Queen as well. As for “poop culture”, it was a double entendre, although I knew you’d think it was a Freudian slip. It was one of those times where I was laughing at myself, by myself. You know the face I was making. I know, I am a dork! But I have to be entertained somehow!
Well, we’re now watching “American Gangster” so I must close! Hopefully, I won’t be grosed out!

JSmo — You love laughing at yourself!

Wow! You can’t get much higher than queen of SBTB and poop! (Where’d you get all this deeming power, anyway?) But, no, I don’t have the DVDs. I’m just that good.

How’d American Gangster treat ya? I wouldn’t think it’s quite up your alley.
