Surf’s, er, Heads Up

The iMac is taking a vacation with the beach ball. Chris is checking him into his hotel as we speak. So unless something changes, I’m about to have to relinquish the PowerBook to the powers that make money. I’ll still have the iPhone to check on your blogs and such, but I wouldn’t count on much commenting/responding or posting.

I’m kind of too tired to write a good post anyway. We spent the weekend “Spring Cleaning.” I went through every single inch of space — closets, cabinets, laundry room, under the bed included — in this place. You wouldn’t believe the number of bags and boxes that made it to Good Will! We purged everywhere and reorganized the kitchen, the bathroom, our closet, and Caelyn’s closet. And then I cleaned — as in dusted, vacuumed, disinfected — yesterday, so feel free to come on over and snoop. Things are just as clean on the inside as they are on the outside. Plus, Chris put up these cool lights on the balcony, which makes it perfect for relaxing. There are things I don’t like about summer, namely heat and wasps, but there are at least two things I really love about it: sitting outside at night and flip flops.

Whenever I do get a chance to blog again, I hope to cover the Gilmore Girls Season 6 finale, which I watched last week, and if I’m in the mood, the return of television’s best “now” show, The Office. I might even get around to writing a review of Leatherheads, which I watched last weekend when Chris hung out with Caelyn so I could actually try on some clothes at the store and do something relaxing by myself. (I didn’t buy any clothes, but I did get some shoes and sunglasses.)

We’ll see. There’s only one thing I know for sure: I wish the iMac would grab a ball for me too and take me to the beach with him for a few days.

What do ya say, Mac? We wouldn’t have to go steady or anything. It’d just be a few days.

[...] P.S. Yeah, this post has no point, but quit complaining. You weren’t supposed to get anything today. [...]

Let Chris know we’re here for him if he needs to talk….

He’s okay. For now.

Turns out they just “wiped” something “clean,” and sent the two of them back home to give it a few days and see if that fixes it. Apple really does have great customer service, and since we’re close to the Apple store, Chris can take it right in and talk with the guy (they call ‘em geniuses) face-to-face while he checks it out. A lot of times, they can fix whatever it is right on the spot. Plus, with Apple Care, it’s free! (You have to pay for Apple Care upfront, but ours paid for itself long ago.)

You can give all these points to Kev to add to his argument for why you should let him get a Mac!
